PALS Founder and Owner
There is probably no more difficult question
than whether or not to euthanize a cherished
companion animal. Yet when the quality of life
for your pet has deteriorated, when your pet is
suffering, or when costs of tests and treatments
are prohibitive, euthanasia may be the most
loving and humane choice for you and your pet.
As you come to this decision itís important
to discuss questions and concerns with your
veterinarian. Based on this discussion and the
reality of your own situation, when the time
comes you will be better prepared to use your
own good judgment.
How will the euthanasia be performed?
Where will the euthanasia be performed? Home
When will the euthanasia be performed? What is
the least traumatic for you and your pet?
Should the euthanasia procedure be immediate
What should I tell my children? They need to
know the truth in terms they can understand.
Should I/we be present during the procedure?
You know best what you are capable of handling.
Will it matter to my pet if Iím present? Pets
feel more secure in the company of people they
know, yet they do not have the same awareness of
death as humans do.

MORE OF OUR TESTIMONIALS >
is a valued team member of PALS. As an administrative assistant Melissa has the pleasure of working with many veterinarians, municipalities and clients. Helping people through a difficult loss is rewarding and one of the many reasons Melissa loves working with PALS. Outside of her PALS duties, Melissa volunteers at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, MAIN-Medical Animals in Need, and Andre House. Together with her amazing husband Chris, they have 2 ferrets and 4 dogs, Denny, Rufus, Jax and Odie. If you've been to our office recently you may have already met a couple of these furbabies.
Melissa has been the igniting flame for this year's fundraiser event. "The PALS CHARITIES fundraiser is just around the corner and it means a lot for me since two of the 3 organizations benefitting are near and dear
to my heart. I have been working very hard to
get donations for the silent auction and ensure
this event is a great success. I hope to see
familiar and meet new faces on Thursday May 1,
